Impact Khudobin split the campaign between levels in Russia, playing the bulk of his games in the VHL for Krasnoyarsk Sokol, posting a 6-5-0 record, .929 save percentage and 2.29 GAA. During his NHL career, the veteran netminder played for six NHL clubs, racking up a combined 260 regular-season games in which he logged a 114-92-33 record, including 47 victories with the Stars.

Returned to AHL affiliate Khudobin was reassigned to AHL Rockford on Saturday, Scott Powers of The Athletic reports.

Impact Khudobin was recalled while Petr Mrazek was out with a groin injury, but with Mrazek back in action, Khudobin is no longer needed in Chicago. He gave up six goals on 28 shots Thursday as the Blackhawks fell 6-1 in his lone start for Chicago.

Making Chicago debut Khudobin will defend the road crease in Washington on Thursday, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Impact This will be Khudobin's first start for the Blackhawks after he was dealt from Dallas at the trade deadline three weeks ago. Khudobin was 3-4-1 with a 3.64 GAA and .879 save percentage as a member of the Stars before he was demoted to the minors earlier in the season.

Impact Moving Khudobin's contract off their books allowed the Stars to complete this deal. The 36-year-old netminder has a 2.89 GAA and an .899 save percentage through 24 games with AHL Texas, and he'll now report to the Blackhawks' affiliate in Rockford.
