Impact Callahan was drafted in the fifth round of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft by the Coyotes, but he never signed with the now defunct club. The 25-year-old will continue developing his game with the Providence Bruins -- the left-shot blueliner registered 17 points in 70 regular-season contests with the team last season.

Impact Swayman missed all of training camp due to a contract holdout, so he may need additional time to return to game speed. As a result, Joonas Korpisalo could start Opening Night in Florida against the Panthers on Tuesday. The 25-year-old Swayman posted a 25-10-8 record with three shutouts, a 2.53 GAA and a .916 save percentage across 44 appearances during the 2023-24 regular season. His workload should increase this campaign after the Bruins traded Linus Ullmark to Ottawa in June.
