ImpactShepard missed the end of the preseason due to a lower-body injury and will be left off Washington's Opening Night roster. He made four regular-season appearances for the Capitals last year and posted a 2-1-1 record, 3.18 GAA and .894 save percentage.

ImpactBrown had no goals, one assist, seven shots on net and 25 hits in 11 regular-season contests with Boston in 2023-24. He added 11 goals and 32 points in 42 games for AHL Providence during the 2023-24 regular season. He could see additional time in the NHL this campaign, but most of his playing time will probably be in the minors.
