Impact Montour has five goals and 13 points in 20 appearances in 2025-26. He was considered questionable for Thursday's game because he missed practices, but the 31-year-old didn't end up spending any time out of the lineup due to the injury.
DECEMBER 5 • ROTOWIRE
Managing issue, could play Thursday Montour (undisclosed) is day-to-day ahead of Thursday's game against Edmonton, according to Emerald City Hockey on Tuesday.
Impact Head coach Lane Lambert expects Montour to play against the Oilers, but the 31-year-old defenseman missed his second straight practice Tuesday. Montour also didn't participate in Monday's session after he aggravated something. The Kraken called it a "team decision" to keep him off the ice. He has registered five goals, 13 points, 52 shots on net, 32 blocked shots and 21 hits across 20 appearances this season.

Impact Montour has two goals and two helpers over his last four games. The 31-year-old defenseman continues to make an impact on offense while seeing ample ice time in all situations. For the season, he has five goals, 13 points, 48 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 20 hits and a plus-6 rating through 19 appearances. Montour is on track to top the 40-point mark for the second year in a row and the third time in his career.
NOVEMBER 27 • ROTOWIRE
Nets game-winner Saturday Montour scored the game-winning goal in Saturday's 3-2 overtime win over the Penguins.
Impact Montour was the unsung hero for the Kraken after scoring the game-winning goal with 50 seconds left in the third period. However, that was just his fourth goal of the campaign, and as a second-pairing blueliner, his fantasy upside isn't very high to be rostered in most formats, although he could have some upside in deeper leagues. Montour has 12 points (four goals, eight assists) on the season.
NOVEMBER 23 • ROTOWIRE
Two helpers in comeback win Montour dished out two assists, placed three shots on net, and recorded a block in Thursday's 3-2 win over the Blackhawks.
Impact Montour played a hand in the goals that began and completed Seattle's third-period comeback. His pair of apples ended a five-game point drought and doubled his point total in the month of November. Overall, the 31-year-old blueliner has eight assists, 11 points, 40 shots on goal and 25 blocks through 16 games this season. Montour's first full season in Seattle was the second-best offensive season of his career, and year two has him on a point pace to surpass the 41 points he put together last year. His inconsistencies finding the scoresheet as of late are noteworthy, but he displayed a very consistent start to the season with eight points in seven appearances, meaning Thursday's helpers could spark another point run for him. With solid category coverage, Montour has solid fantasy value in most formats.
NOVEMBER 21 • ROTOWIRE
Stays warm with goal Montour scored a goal on two shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Rangers.
Impact Montour has three goals and a helper over his last two games. The 31-year-old defenseman's tally in the second period was ultimately enough for the Kraken to force overtime for the second game in a row. Montour is up to three goals, eight points, 20 shots on net, 15 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-6 rating across seven appearances. He should continue to be a strong source of offense in a top-four role with power-play usage.
NOVEMBER 2 • ROTOWIRE

Impact This was Montour's second game back after he took of leave of absence to be with his family due to the death of his brother. The defenseman put together a masterful third period Tuesday, helping the Kraken earn a standings point as he accumulated his three points in less than 10 minutes to force overtime. Montour is at two goals, five assists, 18 shots on net, 14 blocked shots, 10 hits and a plus-6 rating through six appearances this season. He plays in all situations and can offer all-around production for fantasy managers, though his offense is bound to cool off as the year progresses.

Impact In a corresponding move, Jared McCann (lower body) moved to injured reserve. Following a four-game absence, Montour will be available for Saturday's matchup against Edmonton. He has collected four assists, 11 shots on goal, nine blocked shots and eight hits in four appearances this season.

On non-roster list Montour (personal) was added to the non-roster list Monday, per the NHL media site.
Impact Montour is away from the team for a personal matter, having missed Saturday's matchup with the Maple Leafs. Based on this move, Montour probably shouldn't be expected to play in the Kraken's back-to-back against the Flyers or Capitals on Monday and Tuesday, respectively.
OCTOBER 20 • ROTOWIRE
Taking leave of absence Montour will be taking a temporary leave of absence to deal with a family matter and will not play Saturday in Toronto.
Impact Montour is off to a strong start with four assists and 11 shots on goal in the Kraken's first four games. Cale Fleury is expected to enter the lineup in Montour's absence.
OCTOBER 18 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Montour has quietly picked up four helpers over four games to start the season. He missed the preseason after a surgery to remove a bursa from his ankle, but he has resumed a top-four role with no limitations early on. In addition to his steady offense, he's added 11 shots on net, nine blocks, eight hits, five PIM and a plus-3 rating.

Impact Montour had 18 goals, 41 points, 70 PIM, 231 shots, 84 hits and 100 blocks across 81 appearances with Seattle in 2024-25. He should enter the season in a top-four role and receive some power-play ice time. Cale Fleury, who might have played if Montour was unavailable, is projected to be a healthy scratch versus the Ducks.
OCTOBER 9 • ROTOWIRE
On track for opening night Montour (ankle) is tracking well and expected to be ready for opening night, The Sound of Hockey reports.
Impact Montour underwent a minor ankle procedure earlier this month, but head coach Lane Lambert is "very confident" that both he and Jared McCann will be ready to go for opening night. That's good news for the Kraken to have Montour healthy for the start of the year, who will likely play heavy minutes again for the team. In the 31-year-old's first season in a Kraken sweater, he scored a career-high 18 goals to go along with 23 assists while logging nearly 23 minutes of ice time per night.

Impact Montour had a bursa removed from his ankle in early September. The Kraken announced on Sept. 17 that he was expected to miss approximately two weeks, and he's trending in the right direction heading into the second half of training camp. It's not yet clear when the defenseman will be able to return to game action, but it seems possible that he'll be able to suit up early in the regular season.
SEPTEMBER 25 • ROTOWIRE
Undergoes minor procedure Montour had a bursa removed from his ankle earlier in September and will be out for two weeks.
Impact Montour will be sidelined for at least the first half of training camp, though he may still have the time to get into a game or two late in the preseason. With Montour out, look for Ryker Evans to get more power-play looks during exhibition games. If Montour's recovery takes longer, Josh Mahura would be a candidate to step into the lineup.
SEPTEMBER 18 • ROTOWIRE
Completes successful season Montour scored a power-play goal on five shots and went minus-2 in Tuesday's 6-5 loss to the Kings.
Impact While the Kraken were nothing special in 2024-25, Montour played well in his first year with the team. Through Tuesday's games, his 18 goals ranks fourth among all NHL defenseman, and he was sixth among all Kraken skaters in goals and points (41). Still, he ended the year a little cold with just two goals over his last 13 contests. He added a total of 231 shots on net, 100 blocked shots, 84 hits, 70 PIM and a minus-22 rating over 81 appearances this season. Montour signed a seven-year deal last summer, so he'll be a key part of the Seattle blue line for quite some time.

He helped out on a Michael Eyssimont tally in the first period of Sunday's game. Montour's surge on offense has him up to 38 points (10 on the power play) with 195 shots on net, 73 hits, 80 blocked shots, 43 PIM and a minus-14 rating over 67 appearances this season. He's poised to reach the 40-point mark for the second time in his career barring a lengthy slump to close out 2024-25.

Impact Montour has matched his career high in goals (16), and he's surged to get there with six tallies over seven outings in March. He's also picked up three assists this month. The 30-year-old defenseman has occasionally looked like the Kraken's top blueliner this season, and this is one of his best stretches. Overall, he's at 37 points, 192 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 70 hits and a minus-12 rating through 66 appearances, four points better than what he did in the same number of games in the 2023-24 regular season with the Panthers.

This was his second four-point game of the season as well as his third multi-goal effort. He has five tallies and three assists over six outings in March, and Montour is up to 15 goals, 36 points (10 on the power play), 190 shots on net, 79 blocked shots, 69 hits, 43 PIM and a minus-15 rating through 65 appearances this season.

MARCH 9 • ROTOWIRE

Impact Montour has four points over his last four contests. He's had spotty production for much of 2025, but it looks like his offense is thawing out now. The 30-year-old blueliner is up to 12 goals, 31 points, 178 shots on net, 74 blocked shots, 66 hits and a minus-11 rating through 61 appearances. He continues to see time in a top-four role at even strength as well as featuring on the power play.

Impact Montour set up an Oliver Bjorkstrand goal in the second period before scoring one of his own in the third. Over his previous seven games, Montour had been limited to one assist. The 30-year-old defenseman was pretty consistent up to the holiday break, but his offense has come in smaller bursts over the last couple of months. For the season, he's at 11 goals, 19 helpers, 171 shots on net, 74 blocked shots, 64 hits and a minus-11 rating through 60 outings. He should be able to surpass last season's 33-point effort over 66 regular-season contests with the Panthers.
