Impact Scanlin provided eight goals and eight assists in 64 regular-season contests for AHL Hartford in 2023-24. He also made his NHL debut against Philadelphia on March 26, earning one hit in 10:46 of ice time. The 25-year-old defender will probably spend most of the 2024-25 campaign in the minors.

Impact Scanlin's demotion would seem to be a good indication that Erik Gustafsson (upper body) will be ready to return to action versus the Devils on Wednesday. For his part, the 24-year-old Scanlin appeared in one NHL game back on March 26 in which he saw 10:46 of ice time and recorded one hit.

Summoned from AHL Scanlin was recalled from AHL Hartford on Monday.

Impact Scanlin has eight goals and 16 points in 57 AHL appearances this season. He will provide the Rangers with some defensive depth following injuries to Ryan Lindgren (lower body) and Jacob Trouba (lower body).

Inks two-year extension Scanlin agreed to terms on a two-year contract extension with the Rangers on Thursday.

Impact Scanlin has yet to make his NHL debut after three seasons in the minors with AHL Hartford. For the Wolf Pack this year, the 24-year-old blueliner has managed seven goals and seven helpers in 43 contests. Given his production in the minors, Scanlin probably shouldn't be expected to serve as more than a depth scoring piece if he can make the jump to the NHL.

Agrees to one-year deal Scanlin agreed to a one-year, two-way contract with the Rangers on Tuesday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.

Impact Scanlin and the Rangers had an arbitration hearing scheduled for Friday, but now that won't be necessary. The 24-year-old defenseman contributed four goals and 15 points in 61 games for AHL Hartford last season. Scanlin will likely begin the 2023-24 campaign in the minors.
