Tage Thompson - Not playing Saturday Thompson (upper body) will not be in the lineup against Philadelphia on Saturday, Mike Harrington of The Buffalo News reports.
Impact Thompson skated Saturday and while he has improved immensely, he still isn't ready to return. Coach Don Granato said that Thompson is close to being available, so he should be considered day-to-day. Thompson has 44 goals and 89 points in 72 games this season.

Alex Tuch - Second career hat trick Tuch scored a hat trick Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Impact His first put the Sabres up 2-1 early in the second. Tuch wired a shot from the slot that beat Felix Sandstrom. He went blocker side from the top of the right circle for his second late in the second frame. And Tuch finished the scoring and nailed down his second NHL hat trick with a shorthanded snipe late in the third period. His first hattie came in October against the Flames. Tuch now has 35 goals and 72 points in 67 games.

Casey Mittelstadt - Seven assists in four-game streak Mittelstadt delivered three assists Saturday in a 6-3 win over the Flyers.
Impact Mittelstadt has seven assists during a four-game point streak. It has taken him a long time to show he could deliver offense. This has been the best season of his career. Mittelstadt has 10 goals and 39 assists in 75 games, and with his current hot streak and a touch of luck, he could crack 50 points this year.

Impact Lukkonen has won two consecutive games with seven goals allowed in that span. With the win, the Sabres remained four points behind the Panthers, who moved into the second wild card spot after a win today. UPL is likely to see a load of play over the next week, even with a three-headed goalie monster in the city of fires. Devon Levi could get another game and Craig Anderson might get one start to say goodbye. Or not, especially if the Sabres stay in postseason hunt.

Devon Levi - Wins pro debut Levi turned aside 31 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Rangers.
Impact The Sabres staked the 21-year-old to a 2-0 lead, and Levi had to survive a furious comeback from the Blueshirts that included 20 shots in the third period alone just to get the game to OT, but Jeff Skinner made sure the kid was a winner in his first NHL start. Buffalo remains five points back of Pittsburgh for the final wild-card spot in the Eastern Conference, with Florida in between the two, and it's entirely possible Levi gives the Sabres their best chance to close the gap of their three healthy netminders.

Impact He had the primary assist on Jordan Greenway's tally in the second period as well as Jeff Skinner's winner in OT. Mittelstadt has a three-game point streak going as he handles duties on the first line while Tage Thompson (upper body) is sidelined, but his fantasy appeal will shrink as soon as Thompson returns.
