Impact Olofsson was tripped by Jeremy Lauzon on a scoring chance just over halfway through the second period. The goal was Olofsson's first in nine games, though he had a trio of two-assists efforts in that span to remain moderately productive in a bottom-six role. The winger has three goals, seven helpers, 28 shots on net and an even plus-minus rating through 19 outings this season. He'll likely remain in the lineup with the Sabres battling a number of injuries up front, but Olofsson could be a healthy scratch when the team is closer to full strength.

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen - Loses close game Luukkonen stopped 27 of 29 shots in Sunday's 2-1 loss to the Predators.
Impact Luukkonen gave up both goals over a span of 1:14 in the middle of the first period. He kept the Sabres close the rest of the way, but only Victor Olofsson's penalty shot in the second got past Juuse Saros between the other pipes. Luukkonen has lost his last two outings, but this was a vast improvement on his six-goal disaster versus the Blues on Thursday. UPL is at 6-5-1 with a 2.81 GAA and a .907 save percentage through 13 outings. He'll likely continue to see an edge in starts over Eric Comrie, which makes it likely Luukkonen will get a tough test Tuesday versus the Sabres.

Impact Tuch logged four shots on goal with a minus-1 rating in 16:19 of ice time during Sunday's loss to Nashville. The 27-year-old left in the third period but may still be going through testing. Tuch has seven points in nine games since returning from an upper-body injury. Buffalo's next game is Tuesday against Detroit.
