Devon Levi - Allows three in relief Levi made 17 saves in two periods of relief Saturday in a 7-2 loss to the Devils.
Impact Levi entered the game at the start of the second period after starter Eric Comrie had allowed four in frame one. Comrie took the loss, but neither man had help from their teammates. Levi stood on his head at times, including a 10-bell save on John Marino from in tight to keep the score 5-1 in the second. Levi is 3-4-1 in eight starts, with a 3.73 GAA and .876 save percentage. He could use some development in the AHL, but the Sabres may not send him down unless they are miles out of contention.

Eric Comrie - Yanked after one frame Comrie made 14 saves on 18 shots and was replaced by Devon Levi to start the second period of Saturday's 7-2 loss to the Devils.
Impact The loss was self-inflicted, not by Comrie or Levi, but by the queasy effort of the Sabres overall. They got just 12 shots on the net at the end of the ice over three periods, and their miserable first period had them down 4-0. Comrie gets limited ice time and starts because of the three-headed monster in the Buffalo net. There's some thought that Comrie may be the odd man out, leaving Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen and Levi as the lone wolves in the NHL net. Don't jump on that yet -- official news about netminding will be slow to come and may involve sending Levi down for the betterment of his development.

Impact Samuelsson was injured in the first period. The 23-year-old blueliner can likely be considered day-to-day until the Sabres provide another update. Samuelsson plays a mainly defensive role, so his potential absence likely won't impact fantasy formats much.

Eric Comrie - Starting in New Jersey Comrie will defend the road net Saturday against New Jersey, per Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
Impact Comrie is coming off a 15-save effort in a 3-2 loss to Winnipeg on Nov. 17. He has stopped 79 of 88 shots in four appearances this season en route to a 1-2-0 record. The Devils rank 13th in the league this campaign with 3.33 goals per game.

Impact The highly-regarded center was selected 28th overall in 2022 and had 11 goals and 17 points in 16 AHL games before his recall. Kulich had an outstanding tournament at the World U20 Championships last year, where he had seven goals and a pair of assists in seven games. Zemgus Girgensons - Goes on injured reserve Girgensons was placed on injured reserve Saturday after suffering a lower-body injury Friday versus the Penguins, according to Lance Lysowski of The Buffalo News.
Impact Girgensons left the game close to the midway mark of the second period and did not return. Girgensons has two goals and 31 hits in 20 games. He is eligible to return to action Dec. 2 versus Carolina.

Isak Rosen - Recalled from AHL Rosen was recalled from AHL Rochester on Friday, according to Kevin Oklobzija of Pickin' Splinters.
Impact Rosen is expected to make his NHL debut at some point during the Sabres' upcoming four-game road trip which begins Saturday in New Jersey. The 14th overall pick in 2021, Rosen has eight goals and 19 points in 16 AHL games this season, including the game-winning overtime goal versus Laval on Friday.

Alex Tuch - Registers two-point night Tuch scored a goal with an assist in Friday's 3-2 win against the Penguins.
Impact Tuch had the primary assist on Jeff Skinner's power-play goal at 5:13 of the third period, cutting the lead to 2-1. He returned at 17:16 with an even-strength goal from Skinner and Casey Mittelstadt, and he was credited with the game-winning tally. It was his second GWG in the past six games, and he has five total goals overall during the stretch.
