With the 25-year-old Swede performing at this level, it will be hard for veteran Marc-Andre Fleury to pry some starts away from the youngster. Still, an upcoming back-to-back versus Pittsburgh and Boston on Monday and Tuesday, respectively, should afford both backstop the chance to start.

ImpactZary has gotten on the scoresheet in five of the last six games, contributing three goals and two assists in that span. The 22-year-old's helper Thursday was his first power-play point since Nov. 4. The rookie is up to six goals, nine helpers, 24 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through his first 20 games. He's now tied for fifth in rookie scoring, and all of the players ahead of him have played at least seven more games.

ImpactThis loss was not on Vladar -- he played his heart out. He allowed a goal to Matt Boldy early in the first period and then a power-play snipe at 13:18 of the season. Other than that, Vladar bricked up the twine tent. This performance was a great rebound for him after a six-goal game in Colorado on Monday. The Flames have struggled lately, so it's tough to put any of their netminders into your blue paint.
