ImpactMarkstrom is working his way back from a fractured finger and at least was able to get in some practice time even if it wasn't with the Flames. The backstop is eligible to come off injured reserve at any point, though Thursday's clash with Minnesota likely comes too soon considering he isn't practicing with the NHL club right now. In his stead, Dan Vladar and Dustin Wolf figure to share the crease.

ImpactThis was Hanifin's third straight game with a helper, a surge that got him to 200 assists in his career. He achieved that milestone in his 627th game -- all impressive totals for a player who's still juts 26 years old. Hanifin is up to 15 points, 51 shots, 40 blocked shots, 10 PIM and an even plus-minus rating through 29 contests this season. With Chris Tanev (upper body) sidelined Tuesday, Hanifin was reunited with Rasmus Andersson on the top defensive pairing.

Martin Pospisil - Grabs helper TuesdayPospisil logged an assist, two shots on goal, two hits and two blocked shots in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

ImpactPospisil snapped a nine-game point drought with his helper on a Nazem Kadri tally in the second period. In that span, Pospisil was scratched once and missed another contest due to an illness. The 24-year-old has cooled off since his hot start in the NHL, but he's still at six points, 37 shots on net, 40 hits and a plus-4 rating through 17 appearances. He may retain some value in deep fantasy formats if he can stick on the second line, but that's mostly been a product of other Flames forwards failing to step up to secure that role, which would bump Pospisil to the bottom six or out of the lineup altogether.

Mikael Backlund - Registers assist TuesdayBacklund posted an assist and four shots on goal in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

ImpactBacklund also won 14 of 20 faceoffs, playing a strong two-way game once again. The 34-year-old has two goals and three helpers over his last seven outings. Backlund has been steady as the third-line center, playing more of a de facto top-six role given his defensive responsibilities. He's up to 15 points, 72 shots on net, 21 hits, 13 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating through 29 appearances.

Blake Coleman - Nabs helper in overtime lossColeman recorded an assist and two hits in Tuesday's 5-4 overtime loss to the Golden Knights.

ImpactColeman has two goals and four assists during his four-game point streak. The 32-year-old forward is up to 19 points, 73 shots on net, 30 hits, 21 blocked shots, 28 PIM and a plus-8 rating through 29 appearances. He's halfway to his 38-point total from 82 games a season ago, and while he's been a tad less physical, it's encouraging to see him making regular contributions from a third-line role.

ImpactZary set up a Nazem Kadri tally in the second period. The helper was Zary's fourth point over the last five games as he continues to be a regular contributor in a top-six role. The rookie forward has six goals, eight assists, 24 shots on net and a plus-5 rating through 19 appearances this season. Fantasy managers can be happy with the points, but the 22-year-old would benefit from increasing his shot totals to sustain his offense in the long run.
