Although the Capitals lost in the shootout, Lindgren had a solid .931 save percentage on the night. During the month of March, Lindgren has nine wins, four losses and an overtime loss in 14 games. Lindgren continues to emerge as the surprise No. 1 goaltender for the Capitals, stealing the net from veteran Darcy Kuemper.

Impact Lindgren has largely supplanted Darcy Kuemper as the Capitals' lead goaltender in recent weeks and his 2.12 GAA and .929 save percentage behind a 8-2-0 record over the last 10 games is a significant reason why the Capitals are currently sitting in a playoff position. A road start against the Maple Leafs is never an easy assignment but with Auston Matthews (illness) questionable and the Toronto already without Mitch Marner (ankle) and Morgan Reilly (upper body), Lindgren has a chance to face a less potent Toronto attack than normal. Those who have ridden the 30-year-old's fortunes to the fantasy playoffs should continue to do so.

Gets overtime win Lindgren kicked out 30 of 33 shots in a 4-3 overtime win over the Red Wings on Tuesday.

Impact Both teams traded goals in the final two periods and it looked like Washington would win in regulation but Lindgren allowed a goal late to Patrick Kane. Lindgren did not face a shot in the extra frame and finished with a .909 save percentage. This was the third straight win for the 30-year old netminder and his eighth in his past 10 games. Overall, Lindgren is a breakout candidate who is exceeding expectations and fantasy managers should consider picking him up if available.

He's been fantastic lately, providing a 5-1-0 record, 1.34 GAA and .956 save percentage across his past six outings. Toronto is a difficult adversary, ranking third offensively with 3.57 goals per game. However, the Maple Leafs might be tired after playing Tuesday and will be missing Mitchell Marner (ankle), so Lindgren will at least be spared from facing the optimal version of the squad.
