Impact Gibson will likely return to the active roster for for Tuesday's clash with Columbus if Curtis McElhinney (undisclosed) is still unavailable.

Gibson's Tampa debut went about as poorly as possible, and with the team not having another set of back-to-back games until April 19-20, the 28-year-old may not get an opportunity to redeem himself unless usual No. 2 netminder Curtis McElhinney (undisclosed) is sidelined a lot longer than expected.

Starting against Red Wings Gibson was promoted to the active roster to make the home start against the Red Wings on Sunday, Bryan Burns of the Lightning's official site reports.

Impact Gibson will make his Lightning debut Sunday. The 28-year-old netminder has just 14 NHL games on his resume, posting a .904 save percentage and a 3-4-3 record in the process. The Red Wings are certainly a favorable matchup, though, as they rank last in the league with just 2.13 goals per game.

Impact Gibson will swap spots with Spencer Martin, who was sent to the minors in a corresponding move. Gibson hasn't appeared in an NHL contest since 2018-19.
