Connor Bedard - Two points in Wednesday's winBedard produced a goal and an assist in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche.
ImpactThe 19-year-old phenom helped set up Chicago's first goal of the night, an Ilya Mikheyev tally late in the first period, before potting the game's final tally midway through the third. Bedard extended his point streak to eight games in the process, a stretch in which he's racked up four goals and 11 points.

Frank Nazar - First goal a game-winnerNazar scored the game-winning goal in Wednesday's 3-1 victory over the Avalanche.
ImpactThe 2022 first-round pick scored his first goal of the season, and just the second of his NHL career, by banging home the rebound on a Colton Dach shot midway through the second period. Nazar has gotten onto the scoresheet in back-to-back games while producing three points in the last seven contests, and he's been seeing consistent shifts on the power-play since his mid-December promotion, although typically on the second unit. The 20-year-old center is still learning the ropes at the top level, but he's beginning to flash his upside.

Petr Mrazek - Finally back in win columnMrazek made 35 saves in Wednesday's 3-1 win over the Avalanche.
ImpactJuuso Parssinen opened the scoring for Colorado early in the first period with an end-to-end rush that he finished by slipping a backhander past Mrazek inside the near post, but the veteran goalie slammed the door shut the rest of the way. It was Mrazek's first win since Nov. 27, ending a skid that had seen him go 0-6-0 over his prior seven appearances with a brutal 4.97 GAA and .834 save percentage while also missing time due to a groin strain. While victories will be hard to come by with Chicago, a healthy Mrazek is at least capable of posting better ratios.

Trent Miner - Comes up short in first startMiner turned aside 17 shots in Wednesday's 3-1 loss to Chicago.
ImpactThe rookie goalie was beaten once in each period in his first career NHL start, while his offense had trouble solving Petr Mrazek in the other crease. Miner may not see any more action before returning to AHL Colorado -- the Avs don't play another back-to-back set until the final weekend of January, but Scott Wedgewood (lower body) figures to be back by then to back up Mackenzie Blackwood.
