James Reimer - Slated starter for ThursdayReimer is set to face the Islanders at home Thursday, per Carley Johnston of the Red Wings' official site.

ImpactReimer has allowed at least three goals in three of his past four appearances. He's 8-7-2 with a 2.98 GAA and a .907 save percentage in 21 outings in 2023-24. The Islanders are 14-15-5 on the road, so this is a somewhat favorable matchup for Reimer.

Moritz Seider - Two points against JacketsSeider produced a goal and an assist in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

ImpactThe 22-year-old blueliner also added five shots on net, three blocked shots, a hit and a plus-2 rating to his ledger. Seider's second-period tally was his eighth of the season, a new career high, and over the last 16 games he's collected 10 points (two goals, eight assists) with 12 PIM, 24 shots on net, 43 blocked shots and 44 hits.

ImpactAfter helping set up two Lucas Raymond tallies in regulation, Kane took matters into his own hands in the extra period, banking a sharp-angle shot off Daniil Tarasov. The 35-year-old winger extended his point streak to five games, and since the All-Star break he's erupted for eight goals and 22 points in 19 contests, including one goal and eight assists with the man advantage.

Lucas Raymond - Another two-goal effortRaymond scored two goals, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

ImpactThe 21-year-old winger got Detroit on the board early in the second period, then sent the game to OT by banging home a rebound with 13 seconds left on the clock in the third. Raymond has found the back of the net in five straight games, including back-to-back two-goal performances, and he's established new career highs with 24 goals and 59 points on the season through 69 contests.

James Reimer - Hangs on for OT winReimer made 32 saves in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime win over the Blue Jackets.

ImpactColumbus jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period, but aside from a Kirill Marchenko power-play tally in the third, Reimer was stout the rest of the way and gave his team a chance to mount a comeback. The 36-year-old netminder has been Detroit's best option in the crease since the All-Star break, going 4-1-0 over seven outings with a 2.48 GAA and .929 save percentage, and he appears to have worked into a timeshare with Alex Lyon.

Zach Werenski - Three points in OT lossWerenski scored a goal and added two assists, one on the power play, in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.

ImpactThe 26-year-old blueliner opened the scoring early in the first period before helping set up tallies by Alexandre Texier and Kirill Marchenko. Werenski has a goal and 10 points over the last 11 games, and on the season he's up to 43 points (five goals, 38 assists) in 57 contests. If he stays locked in down the stretch, Werenski has a shot at recording his first career 50-point campaign.

Daniil Tarasov - Tough OT loss in DetroitTarasov turned aside 23 shots in Tuesday's 4-3 overtime loss to the Red Wings.

ImpactColumbus jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period and were still leading 3-2 late in the third, but Lucas Raymond banged home a rebound with 13 seconds left in regulation to tie things up. Patrick Kane then snuck one short side on Tarasov early in OT. The 24-year-old netminder is still enjoying a strong start to March, going 3-1-1 in six outings with a 2.21 GAA and .937 save percentage -- a sharp contrast to Elvis Merzlikins' 4.10 GAA and .865 save percentage in four March appearances.
