Playing in exhibition Murphy (groin) is taking part in Thursday's exhibition against the Blues, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Impact Murphy hadn't been participating in practice recently because of the groin issue, but he wouldn't be in the lineup if the medical staff felt it was still a problem. Barring a setback of some kind in the next couple days, Murphy should be available for the start of the best-of-five series versus the Oilers on Saturday.

Still hampered by injury Murphy (groin) wasn't a full participant in Sunday's practice, Ben Pope of the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

Impact Murphy has been dealing with a groin injury over the past several days and fully participated in practice Saturday, but he was limited Sunday. Head coach Jeremy Colliton said after practice that he wasn't sure whether Murphy would be ready for Game 1 against the Oilers on Saturday and stated that the team is "ramping him up slowly."

Impact Murphy has been dealing with a groin injury over the past week, but it looks like he's back to 100 percent ahead of Sunday's flight to Edmonton. The 27-year-old blueliner notched 19 points in 58 games during the regular season.
