Set to start vs. Golden Knights Oettinger is slated to start at home against the Golden Knights in Game 2 on Wednesday, per Stars radio analyst Bruce LeVine.
Impact Oettinger will attempt to rebound after allowing four goals on just 15 shots in a 4-3 loss to Vegas on Monday. He was inconsistent in the regular season, finishing with a 35-14-4 record, 2.72 GAA and .905 save percentage in 54 contests. Oettinger also had a tough time versus the Golden Knights during the 2023 playoffs, stopping 143 of 163 shots (.877 save percentage) over the course of that six-game series.

Out Wednesday Hakanpaa (lower body) is expected to miss Game 2 on Wednesday, according to Brian Rea of Bally Sports Southwest.
Impact Hakanpaa hasn't been able to play since March 16 due to the injury. He had two goals, 12 points, 33 PIM, 196 hits and 123 blocks in 64 appearances during the regular season. When Hakanpaa is healthy, he might replace Nils Lundkvist in the lineup.

Impact Stankoven's goal drought is up to 13 games, but he made an unselfish play after forcing a turnover in the first period, setting up Jason Robertson for the goal. The 21-year-old Stankoven put up 14 points over 24 regular-season outings in a middle-six role, one he'll likely remain in throughout the playoffs.

Impact Logan Stankoven stole the puck and fed Robertson for the Stars' second goal late in the first period. After posting just four points over the final seven contests of the regular season, Robertson's offense is off to a solid start in the playoffs. The winger had 80 points, 231 shots on net, 77 hits and a plus-19 rating in 82 games this year, a drop from his 109-point campaign in 2022-23.

Impact Oettinger turned in one of his worst efforts of the season, though two of the Golden Knights' four goals came on the power play. Oettinger is no stranger to dropping Game 1 -- he lost all three of the Stars' series-opening contests during the team's run to the Western Conference Finals last year.
