Juraj Slafkovsky - Manages assist FridaySlafkovsky provided an assist in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
ImpactSlafkovsky set up Cole Caufield's tally in the second period. This was Slafkovsky's eighth game in a row without a goal, but he's earned five assists in that span while seeing more consistent time on the top line in the absence of Patrik Laine (illness). Overall, Slafkovsky has four goals, 19 helpers, 47 shots on net, 86 hits and a minus-10 rating through 38 appearances. He's a little behind the pace that saw him record 50 points in 2023-24, though that's largely due to a decrease from shooting 13.2 percent last season to 8.5 percent this year while also dropping from 1.85 to 1.23 shots per game.

Nick Suzuki - Another OT winnerSuzuki scored a goal on six shots and blocked a shot in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over Washington.
ImpactSuzuki's attempted pass was broken up by Dylan Strome but the bounce went Suzuki's way, and he scored the game winner in overtime. It was the second consecutive game in which Suzuki won it in the extra period. The top line had a dry spell toward the end of December, but it's been clicking in the new year. Both Suzuki and Cole Caufield have points in five straight games.

Josh Anderson - Logs shortie in winAnderson scored a shorthanded goal on one shot and added a hit in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
ImpactAnderson pounced on a loose puck after Rasmus Sandin fanned on a pass and finished a breakaway with a backhander past Logan Thompson. It's been a minute since Anderson found the back of the net; he snapped a nine-game, 18-shot drought to give Montreal a 2-1 lead in the second period. Anderson has seven tallies and nine assists through 41 outings.

Jakub Dobes - Bags third winDobes stopped 15 of 17 shots in Friday's 3-2 overtime win over the Capitals.
ImpactDobes wasn't terribly busy but did his job in securing a third win in three starts. He's allowed just three goals on 74 shots since being called up from AHL Laval. Montreal is back in action Saturday when it hosts the Stars.
