Questionable vs. Edmonton, Sam Steel becomes latest Star to face early-season injurySteel is questionable for the Dallas Stars Saturday vs. the Edmonton Oilers.
Brendan Smith - Probable for SaturdaySmith (undisclosed) will probably play Saturday versus Edmonton, but his availability isn't certain, according to Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News on Friday.
ImpactSmith played through Thursday's 3-2 loss to Washington, but he appeared to be hurt after absorbing a crosscheck during the contest, per Assimakopoulos. The 35-year-old Smith was able to participate in Friday's practice, though, so it seems his injury isn't major. He has no points, two shots, four hits and three blocks across three appearances this season.

Tyler Seguin - Unavailable for SaturdaySeguin (lower body) won't play Saturday versus Edmonton, per Lia Assimakopoulos of The Dallas Morning News.
ImpactIt will be Seguin's third consecutive game on the shelf. He was off to a great start before the injury, scoring two goals and three points across three games in 2024-25. Seguin's continued absence is likely to result in Evgenii Dadonov staying on the second power-play unit for now.
