Falls to Colorado Rittich allowed three goals on 24 shots in Thursday's 4-2 loss to the Avalanche.
Impact Rittich, making his first start since March 14, allowed a goal in each period en route to a loss in Winnipeg's season finale. The 30-year-old finishes the regular season 9-7-1 with a .902 save percentage while playing sparingly behind Connor Hellebuyck. Rittich will continue to back up Hellebuyck when the Jets open the postseason against Golden Knights.

Rittich hasn't won a game in a month, going 0-3-1 over his last six appearances with a 3.05 GAA and .876 save percentage, and while Connor Hellebuyck has been shaky himself in recent weeks, his backup isn't putting any pressure on him for playing time.

Impact Rittich has a 9-6-1 record this season with a 2.57 GAA and a .906 save percentage in 19 appearances. He made 24 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Hurricanes on Nov. 21. Rittich's start will give Connor Hellebuyck a bit of a breather after the latter played in back-to-back games over the weekend. Carolina sits 12th in the league this year with 3.28 goals per game.

With Connor Hellebuyck struggling, Rittich could be tasked with getting a few more starts down the stretch, including Monday's tilt. An upcoming back-to-back versus the Panthers and Lightning on Saturday and Sunday, respectively, will serve as another chance for Rittich to man the crease.

The 30-year-old goaltender at least had a better showing than Hellebuyck's recent outings, but it still didn't end well for the Jets. Rittich has a 9-6-1 record, 2.57 GAA and .906 save percentage in 19 contests this season. He hasn't earned a win over his last five outings and has allowed 10 goals on 89 shots over that span.

Impact Neither goalie had much luck slowing down Edmonton's high-powered offense, but both the goals Rittich allowed came with Winnipeg down a skater -- one on an Oilers power play, and the other on a delayed penalty call against the Jets. Hellebuyck is in a slump right now, but Rittich has started only one of the last seven games and may not see a whole lot more action as the Jets focus on getting their starter right for the playoffs. If he does begin to cut into Hellebuyck's workload, Rittich's 2.55 GAA and .908 save percentage on the season could make him a solid fantasy option.
