Snipes with man advantage Zadina scored a power-play goal on four shots in Tuesday's 4-1 loss to Florida.
Impact Zadina wired a shot past Calvin Pickard from the right circle to get the Red Wings on the board 7:29 into the second period. That was the extent of the offense for Detroit, which has topped two goals in a game just twice in the last six contests. It was Zadina's first goal since March 14, snapping his 10-game drought. The 21-year-old has 14 points in 30 games this season.

Surfaces on injured reserve Bernier (leg) was placed on injured reserve Tuesday, per CapFriendly.
Impact Bernier has yet to return to practice, although he is getting closer to reaching that point in his recovery. The 32-year-old goalie has already missed five games, so he'll be eligible to return whenever he's fit to play again.

Impact The Red Wings have yet to string together three straight wins this season. Pickard won back-to-back games over the weekend while recording a .949 save percentage, so he'll get a chance to accomplish the feat. It won't come easy, though. The Panthers rank ninth in the league with 3.26 goals per game, though they'll be without star center Aleksander Barkov (lower body).

Impact It looks like Nielsen will enter the lineup for Tuesday's game versus the Lightning, marking his first appearance since Feb. 28. The 36-year-old forward has produced five points through 21 games, as he typically skates in a bottom-six role.

Impact Bernier likely will need to get a few practices under his belt before returning to the lineup. Calvin Pickard won back-to-back games this past weekend, so he'll likely start ahead of Thomas Greiss until he falters or Bernier returns. Bernier posted a .918 save percentage and a 2.78 GAA over 17 games before this injury.
