Impact Lyon was stellar Monday, holding the Lightning to a shorthanded marker in the second period and a power-play goal in the third en route to the 4-2 victory. It's the first win since Feb. 27 for Lyon, who'd gone 0-8-2 while struggling to an .881 save percentage in his prior 10 outings. The 31-year-old netminder is now 19-16-4 with a .907 save percentage and 3.00 GAA this season. Lyon figures to be back in goal Friday when Detroit hosts the Rangers.

Impact Gostisbehere needed a game like this after being held without a point in his previous three contests, and the Red Wings are really hoping for a strong finish from the puck-moving defenseman since the team currently is two points away from the Flyers for the second wild-card playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Ghost has 10 goals and 39 assists to complement 27 power-play points and 67 blocked shots through 73 games. His minus-17 rating is a bit of an eyesore, but then again, he's best known for the offense he provides and there's been plenty of that in 2023-24.

Dylan Larkin - Dogged effort Saturday Larkin battled through a knee injury but was able to finish Saturday's 3-2 shootout loss to the Panthers, adding a power-play goal in the process.

Impact Just 28 seconds into the contest, Larkin had to be helped off the ice after teammate Jeff Petry's blast from the blue line hit him on the knee and left the captain withering in pain. However, he toughed it out and tied the game with four minutes to play in regulation. Larkin needs just one more goal and another helper for a 30-30 season, but those numbers won't mean all that much to him as long as his team is outside of the playoff picture. As of Sunday morning, the Wings are two points behind the Flyers for the second wild-card spot out from the Eastern Conference.
