Michael Rasmussen - Inks four-year contract Rasmussen signed a four-year, $12.8 million contract extension with Detroit on Tuesday.
Impact Rasmussen is in the final season of a three-year, $4.38 million deal. The 24-year-old forward has 11 goals, 23 points and 74 shots on net through 55 games this season.

Christian Fischer - Heating up with helpers Fischer tacked on an assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
Impact Fischer has four assists in the last five games to easily qualify as a season-best stretch. With two goals, 11 assists and a plus-10 rating through 52 games, the versatile forward seemingly is doing all that is asked of him as a penalty-killing specialist in the bottom six. Following his one-year, $1.125 million deal with the Wings, Fischer could hit the open market as an unrestricted free agent in the summer.

Jeff Petry - Shot attempt leads to assist Petry earned a secondary assist in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
Impact Petry fired the puck through heavy traffic and a fortuitus deflection off teammate J.T. Compher culminated in a Lucas Raymond tally at the doorstep. Not every helper will be pretty, but it all looks the same in the box score, as Petry is up to 14 assists and 16 total points through 46 games. The veteran defenseman continues to work on the second defensive pair, albeit with him lacking opportunities on the power play.

Daniel Sprong - Does damage against former team Sprong supplied an even-strength goal in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
Impact Sprong enjoyed a 46-point breakout campaign with Seattle last year, but with a running total consisting of 15 goals and 20 assists, the bottom-six contributor has a chance to top that mark in his debut season with the Wings. Staying healthy will be a key determining factor on whether Sprong can set the bar even higher offensively; so far, so good, as he's yet to miss a game in the 2023-24 campaign.

Moritz Seider - Proves too much for Kraken Seider produced a power-play goal to complement six blocked shots in Monday's 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken.
Impact Seider found an open lane and unleashed a wicked slap shot for the game's first goal. The German defenseman is up to seven goals and 30 total points through 55 games of his third season, and half of that offensive total has taken place on the man advantage. With further consideration to his 123 hits and 134 blocked shots, Seider is as complete of a defenseman as you can find in the league today.

Ben Chiarot - Scores in overtime Chiarot potted a goal in overtime in the 4-3 win over the Kraken on Monday.
Impact It looked like the game would end with a win in regulation for Chiarot and the Red Wings until Jaden Schwartz tied up the game with time ticking down in the third period. In the extra frame, Chiarot pinched in from the point, took a cross-ice pass from Dylan Larkin and wristed it top shelf over net-minder Joey Daccord. Chiarot added two PIM, two shots on net and a plus-2 rating in 20:39. It was only the fourth goal and 14th point on the season for the 32-year old defenseman - he has never hit double-digit goals in his career.

Lucas Raymond - Another multi-point effort Raymond registered one goal and an assist in the 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken on Monday.
Impact Raymond calmly potted his only goal in the second period from a rebound off of Joey Daccord's pads that gave Detroit a 2-1 lead. With the game on the line in overtime, Raymond provided a drop pass for Dylan Larkin who fed Ben Chiarot in the slot for the game winner. This was the second multi-point game for Raymond in as many games and his 13th of the year. He is now sitting at 16 goals on the season and looks to break his career high of 23 set during his rookie campaign.

Alex Lyon - Earns overtime win over Kraken Lyon made 38 saves in a 4-3 overtime win over the Kraken on Monday.
Impact The Kraken fired double-digit shots at Lyon in each period, including an additional one in the extra marker, but he was up to the task to keep his team in the game throughout. It took 15 shots and a power play for Seattle to get on the board when Jared McCann wired a slap shot into the back of the net on assists from Vince Dunn and Andre Burakovsky. McCann added another goal in the second period and then Jaden Schwartz got the go-ahead goal in the third. Olli Maatta eventually tied up the game at 18:16 and the game went into overtime when Ben Chiarot ended it on a wrister for a Detroit win. Lyon finished the game with a solid .927 save percentage and three power-play saves. The Red Wings face the Avalanche at home Thursday.
