Quinton Byfield - Pockets assist in shootout lossByfield notched an assist in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Red Wings.
ImpactByfield has two helpers over his last three contests, though that's a bit of a quiet stretch for the 21-year-old. Since the start of December, he's racked up six goals and five helpers over 15 contests. He stayed on the top line amid the Kings' roster shuffle Thursday, and it's been a productive spot for him this season. Byfield has 10 goals, 17 assists, 70 shots on net and a plus-15 rating through 35 appearances.

ImpactA lineup shuffle saw Kopitar and Quinton Byfield joined by Trevor Moore instead of Adrian Kempe on the top line. The change didn't impact Kopitar much, as he earned his 16th point over the last 15 contests. ImpactLaferriere assisted on both of Adrian Kempe's tallies in the game after the two forwards were united on a line with Pierre-Luc Dubois in a pregame lineup shuffle. To his credit, Laferriere has been solid with six points over his last 10 contests. The rookie winger is up to 10 points, 67 shots on net, 31 hits, 22 PIM and a plus-2 rating through his first 34 NHL outings.

Pierre-Luc Dubois - Benefits from roster shuffleDubois recorded a pair of assists and two shots on goal in Thursday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Red Wings.
ImpactHead coach Todd McLellan pulled out the line blender, with Dubois getting Adrian Kempe on his wing for this contest. It paid off, as Dubois earned his first multi-point effort since Nov. 25 by assisting on both of Kempe's tallies. In the 15 games in between, Dubois had just two goals and one assist. The 25-year-old center has 16 points, 69 shots on net and a minus-5 rating through 35 appearances this season. So far, he hasn't looked worth the bounty of players or the $8.5 million cap hit the Kings committed to get him out of Winnipeg in the summer, but Thursday could be the spark he needed to get going on offense.
