ImpactHutchinson played well in his only NHL game, giving up three goals on 36 shots in a 3-2 loss to New Jersey on Saturday. Hutchinson was recalled due to injuries to Ville Husso (lower body) and Alex Lyon (upper body), but with Lyon healthy and starting Friday against Nashville, Hutchinson was made redundant.

Joe Veleno - Not expected back FridayVeleno (undisclosed) is slated to miss out versus Nashville on Friday, Ted Kulfan of The Detroit News reports.

ImpactVeleno is currently mired in a seven-game goal drought during which he recorded 13 shots and three assists. For now, David Perron looks set to take on a top-six role but Veleno should be in the mix to reclaim that spot once given the all-clear. Veleno did practice Thursday, which could set him up to return against Boston on Sunday.

ImpactPetry has been a disappointment offensively this season as he has only one goal and nine assists in 27 games. Petry was not available Wednesday in Minnesota after he was injured versus New Jersey on Saturday in the final game before the Christmas break. Look for Petry to be paired with Ben Chiarot in his return to action.
