Between pipes against Canes Wolf will tend the twine at home versus Carolina on Thursday, Pat Steinberg of Sportsnet 960 The Fan reports.

Impact Wolf has made just two appearances in the NHL this season in which he posted a 3.67 GAA and .882 save percentage. Until Jacob Markstrom (finger) is back, Dan Vladar should see the majority of the starts with Wolf serving as the No. 2 option, though any struggles by Vladar could open the door.

Recalled from minors Wolf was called up from AHL Calgary on Tuesday.

Impact Jacob Markstrom is considered week-to-week after suffering a fractured finger in Monday's practice, which opens the door for Wolf to compete with Dan Vladar for starts. Vladar is expected to get the nod Tuesday against Minnesota. Wolf has posted a 10-3-0 record with a 2.50 GAA and a .920 save percentage in 13 AHL contests this campaign.

Wolf, who is widely considered Calgary's goalie of the future, made his second NHL start Saturday versus Ottawa, allowing four goals on 38 shots en route to a 4-1 defeat.
