Connor McDavid - Missing at least one week McDavid suffered an upper-body injury Saturday versus the Jets and is expected to miss 1-2 weeks.

Impact McDavid's injury currently doesn't sound too severe, but he will miss some time. Fantasy managers should reasonably expect him to be out for the next three games versus the Wild, Rangers and Flames at a minimum. The Oilers will likely bring Adam Erne back into the lineup, while Warren Foegele and Mattias Janmark could see extra minutes in the middle six.

Leon Draisaitl - Deals two helpers in overtime loss Draisaitl recorded a pair of assists, two shots on goal and two PIM in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.

Impact Draisaitl was involved in goals by Darnell Nurse and Evan Bouchard in the first period. This was Draisaitl's third multi-point effort of the young season. The 27-year-old has four goals, five helpers, five power-play points, 18 shots on net and eight PIM this year. With Connor McDavid (undisclosed) ailing late in the contest, Draisaitl may be tasked with centering the top line in Tuesday's game versus the Wild.

Evan Bouchard - Deposits power-play goal Bouchard scored a power-play goal on seven shots in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to the Jets.

Impact Bouchard's goal gave the Oilers a 2-0 lead at 6:11 of the first period. The 24-year-old's offense is right where it should be through five games -- he has a goal and four helpers, with all but one of those points coming on the power play. Bouchard also has a minus-5 rating, 19 shots on net, six blocked shots and two PIM while working in a top-four role and on the first power-play unit.

Impact Nurse got on the scoresheet for the first time in 2023-24 with his tally 1:25 into the game. The 28-year-old blueliner has still maintained a physical presence despite his poor offense to start the year. Impact Skinner was steadier than in his first two appearances, but he squandered an early two-goal lead. The 24-year-old has surrendered 11 goals on 59 shots through three outings this season. With Jack Campbell also struggling, the Oilers' crease appears to be set for a win-and-stay-in approach. They're on the road Tuesday in Minnesota for their next game.
