Ruled out for Thursday Boqvist (face) has been ruled out for Thursday's game against Ottawa, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Impact Boqvist exited Tuesday's Opening Night matchup against the Bruins after taking a puck to the face, and he'll be unavailable for at least one game. However, head coach Paul Maurice said Thursday that the team is feeling good about Boqvist playing Saturday against Buffalo. Nate Schmidt is slated to make his season debut in Boqvist's absence.

Facing Ottawa Bobrovsky will defend the road crease in Ottawa on Thursday, Jameson Olive of the Panthers' official site reports.

Impact Bobrovsky will make his second consecutive start to begin the 2024-25 campaign. Bobrovsky gave up four goals on 28 shots in a 6-4 win over Boston on Opening Night. The 36-year-old will face the Senators, who were 14th in the Eastern Conference standings last season with 76 points.
