Secures eight-year extension Reinhart and the Panthers agreed to an eight-year contract extension Sunday, Pierre LeBrun of The Athletic reports. The official details are expected to be announced Monday.

Impact Reinhart was one of the key pieces of Florida's Stanley Cup run last season. He scored a career-high 57 goals, blazing past his previous career best of 33. The 28-year-old scored 94 points -- including 34 on the man advantage -- while averaging 20:18 of ice time through 82 games. He then added 16 points in 24 postseason appearances. Reinhart will stay locked into a top-six spot with heavy power-play usage. In his three years with Florida, the 28-year-old winger ranks 11th in the NHL with 121 goals.

Inks one-year deal Asplund signed a one-year, two-way deal with the Panthers on Sunday, per PuckPedia.

Impact Asplund did not see any NHL action during the 2023-24 campaign. He scored 44 points in 67 games with AHL Charlotte. Asplund totaled eight points in 46 contests with Buffalo and Nashville during the 2022-23 season. He should continue providing Florida with organizational depth.

Impact Kiersted had four goals, 15 points and 53 PIM in 57 regular-season contests with AHL Charlotte in 2023-24. The 26-year-old also has two goals and six points across 37 career NHL outings.
