Daniil Tarasov - Back with big clubTarasov (knee) was recalled from his conditioning loan with AHL Cleveland on Monday. He was also activated from long-term injured reserve, per the NHL media site.
ImpactTarasov appears to be ready to make his NHL season debut after a knee injury prevented him from participating in training camp. He posted a 4-11-1 record with a 3.91 GAA and an .892 save percentage in 17 appearances with the Blue Jackets last season. Tarasov could compete for starts with Spencer Martin until Elvis Merzlikins (illness) is available to return.

Andrew Peeke - Healthy scratch again SundayPeeke was a healthy scratch for Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
ImpactThe 25-year-old blueliner drew into the lineup for a few games last week while Erik Gudbranson was ill, but Peeke quickly returned to the press box. On the season, he has only one assist in seven games with a minus-5 rating, but he has contributed 13 hits and 12 blocked shots. With Gudbranson potentially facing a suspension for an incident in Sunday's game, Peeke could find his way back into the lineup, but he's unlikely to make much of an impact.

Jake Bean - Point drought at 23 gamesBean recorded two blocked shots, a shot on net and a hit in Sunday's loss to the Panthers.
ImpactThe 25-year-old blueliner continues to draw a regular shift for Columbus with Damon Severson (oblique) and Adam Boqvist (shoulder) both on IR, but Bean hasn't done much with his opportunities. He's gone 23 games without registering a point, last getting onto a scoresheet with an assist Oct. 24 against the Ducks. During that drought, he's recorded 30 blocked shots, 25 shots on goal, 10 PIM, eight hits and a minus-7 rating. Despite his pedigree as the 13th overall pick in the 2016 Draft, Bean has never been able to make an impact in the NHL, and he seems unlikely to be brought back as a restricted free agent next season given his current $2.3 million salary.

Jet Greaves - Falls to FloridaGreaves stopped 31 of 34 shots in Sunday's 5-2 loss to the Panthers.
ImpactFlorida's final two goals were scored into an empty net. Greaves played well and made some big saves to keep Columbus in the game on an afternoon in which the team was out-shot 36-19. The 22-year-old has started two straight games with Elvis Merzlikins (illness) on injured reserve, turning aside 72 of 77 shots for a .935 save percentage, and those performances could earn Greaves another turn between the pipes when the Jackets return to the ice Thursday in Toronto.

Gustav Forsling - Two-point effort in winForsling produced a goal and an assist while adding three shots on net, two blocked shots and a plus-2 rating in Sunday's 5-2 win over the Blue Jackets.
ImpactBoth points came in the first period as Florida grabbed a 2-1 lead. It was Forsling's first multi-point performance of the season, odd timing considering he's lost his spot on the power play with Brandon Montour and Aaron Ekblad back in action. Forsling has a meager three goals and nine points in 27 games, but his 55 shots, 37 blocked shots, 24 hits and stellar plus-17 rating give him added fantasy value in formats that utilize a broader range of categories.
