Impact Landeskog has been dealing with a knee injury since September of 2022, and he underwent a cartilage transplant surgery in his right knee in May of 2023. The 31-year-old hasn't appeared in a game since June of 2022, and it's not yet clear when he'll return to action. Landeskog was skating over the summer, which led to optimism that he could return early in the 2024-25 campaign, but it's discouraging that he remains without a timetable to return after a month has elapsed in the regular season.

Impact Landeskog has been skating over the summer, and while there's no timetable for his return, coach Jared Bednar said there's increasing optimism that the Avalanche captain won't have to go too deep into the 2024-25 campaign before making his season debut. Landeskog hasn't played since June 26, 2022, but before running into injury issues, he was an amazing two-way center. If the 31-year-old can recapture his old form, then Landeskog might produce at roughly a point-per-game pace while serving in a top-six capacity and on the first power-play unit.

For now, Landeskog's presence on the ice will only be a factor for dynasty/keeper formats as he still makes sense as a future stash player given his offensive upside.
