Canadiens sign defenceman Gustav Lindstrom, who is headed to Laval Swede played 14 games with the Habs last season before being claimed on waivers by the Anaheim Ducks.
Joining Montreal Lindstrom signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Canadiens on Wednesday. He was subsequently waived for the purpose of a loan to AHL Laval.
Impact Lindstrom made 46 appearances in the NHL between Montreal and Anaheim last year and logged three goals and 10 points while averaging 15:24 of ice time. He'll likely split time between the AHL and NHL clubs this year.
