Impact Allen will get the first half of New Jersey's back-to-back, and Jacob Markstrom will play in Tuesday's road start versus Carolina. Impact Allen wasn't tested much Saturday - the shots were 37-18 in favor of the Devils. But he was strong when he needed to be. Allen has the skills to be a strong and busy back-up behind Jakob Markstrom and a playoff-bound Devils squad. He'll be an effective daily play who gets upward of 30 starts.

The 34-year-old Allen posted a 12-18-4 record with a 3.44 GAA and an .895 save percentage across 34 regular-season contests between the Canadiens and Devils in 2023-24. He will serve as Markstrom's backup during the 2024-25 campaign.
