Allen is 0-4-1 over his last five starts with a rough .864 save percentage, but he'll likely maintain a regular spot in the Habs' three-headed goalie committee as the team attempts to move him before the trade deadline.

Impact It has been over a month since Allen last picked up a victory. He is 0-3-1 since Jan 15, allowing 17 goals on 130 shots. Overall Allen is 5-11-3 with a 3.66 GAA and an ,894 save percentage this season. He is part of a three-man goaltending group in Montreal, sharing time with Sam Montembeault and Cayden Primeau. The Devils are averaging 32.1 shots on goal, 10th in the NHL.

Shelled by St. Louis Allen turned aside 29 of 36 shots in Sunday's 7-2 loss to the Blues.

Impact St. Louis scored twice in the first 5:05 of the first period and never looked back, with three of their goals on the afternoon coming on the power play. Allen wasn't sharp at even strength either though, and the veteran netminder is 1-4-1 over his last six outings with a 4.01 GAA and .876 save percentage. He's doing little to push Sam Montembeault for playing time, or make himself a possible trade chip for the Habs.

Impact Allen has a 5-9-3 record, 3.43 GAA and .901 save percentage in 17 contests this season. He's allowed at least three goals in each of his last five outings. The Stars, who rank third offensively with 3.65 goals per game, figure to be a tough adversary for Allen.

Those numbers are pedestrian, but they've come behind a subpar squad. The Habs will likely try to trade him before the deadline. His value would go up, even as a backup with a competitive team.

Impact Allen was a little shaky in his last start Tuesday against the Senators, surrendering three goals on only 27 shots en route to a 4-1 defeat. He'll try to return to the win column in a road matchup with a Pittsburgh team that's averaging just 2.76 goals per game at home this campaign, 25th in the NHL.

Impact Ottawa's final goal was scored into an empty net. Allen got very little help from his defense -- the Sens' first goal came when they won an offensive-zone faceoff while shorthanded, and Ridly Greig was somehow still left alone to scoop up a rebound in front of the netminder. Allen has given up at least three goals in all four of his starts since Christmas, going 1-3-0, and his 3.46 GAA and .900 save percentage on the season aren't helping boost his trade value as the Habs look to simplify their three-headed goalie committee.

Allen has only one win since the beginning of November, posting a brutal 1-8-1 record with a 3.93 GAA and .885 save percentage over his last 10 outings, and he isn't doing much to boost his trade value.

Impact The Habs played a solid defensive game Saturday, but Eetu Luostarinen found a way to drive through and notch two power-play goals. The game was actually tighter than the score indicates, thanks to Allen. Luostarinen pushed the kitties into the lead at 7:34 of the third, and Carter Verhaeghe's 3-1 insurance goal didn't come until 15:26. The Habs use a three-headed goalie group, so Allen doesn't get consistent playing time. And it shows. Since the start of November, he is 1-7-1, and overall, Allen has a 3.40 GAA and .903 save percentage. He's a tough activation.

As a result, Allen has appeared in just five of Montreal's last 16 games.

With the Habs keeping three goalies on the 23-man roster, Allen figures to continue to see limited starts this season, limiting him to mid-range fantasy value at best.
