With their season lost, the Jackets will likely continue to rotate their backstops, recalling Jon Gillies in a corresponding move. As such, there is a chance Greaves could see another game before the end of the regular season, especially if Elvis Merzlikins (lower body) remains shelved.

Undrafted coming out of the OHL, the 22-year-old netminder would have to put together a strong training camp ahead of the 2023-24 campaign if he was going to potentially unseat Daniil Tarasov as the No. 2 option behind Elvis Merzlikins.

Greaves will likely serve as the number two option behind Michael Hutchinson while Elvis Merzlikins (lower body) is out. However, the rebuilding Blue Jackets could elect to give the rookie netminder an extended look to close out the season.
