Signs two-year contract Hicketts has agreed to a two-year, two-way contract with the Kings on Thursday.
Impact Hicketts has three goals, 27 points and 37 PIM in 52 outings with AHL Ontario in 2024-25. The 28-year-old defenseman has appeared in 22 career NHL regular-season games, but he hasn't been in a lineup at the top level since the 2019-20 campaign.

Waived Sunday Hicketts was placed on waivers Sunday for assignment to AHL Ontario, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
Impact Hicketts has spent the last four seasons in the AHL. The 28-year-old blueliner last played in the NHL in 2019, when he had two assists in six games with the Red Wings.

Inks two-way deal Hicketts signed a one-year, two-way contract worth $775,000 at the NHL level with the Kings on Friday.
Impact Hicketts was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent this summer. The 28-year-old defenseman had a goal and 20 points in 30 regular-season AHL outings with Ontario in 2023-24. He also supplied a goal and six points in eight minor-league playoff appearances this year. Hicketts is expected to remain in the AHL for the start of the 2024-25 campaign.
