Impact Utah claimed Nick DeSimone off waivers from New Jersey in a corresponding move. Connauton was a healthy scratch in Saturday's 3-2 overtime loss to Dallas. He has five goals and nine points in 24 AHL appearances this season.

Impact Connauton last played in the NHL during the 2021-22 campaign, scoring once and adding two assists in 39 games split between Florida and Philadelphia. The 34-year-old defenseman had five goals and nine points across 24 AHL games with Tucson this season.
