Cam Talbot - Allows two goals in overtime loss Talbot stopped 29 of 31 shots in Tuesday's 2-1 overtime loss to the Canucks.
Impact Talbot gave up goals to Elias Pettersson and J.T. Miller in the narrow loss. This was just Talbot's second loss in his last six outings, and he's allowed a total of nine goals in that span. The 36-year-old appears to be back in control of the No. 1 job between the pipes. He's at an 18-14-6 record with a 2.45 GAA and a .916 save percentage through 39 appearances this season. Impact It's the second straight three-point performance and third straight multi-point effort for Fiala, who has caught fire at the right time for the Kings' playoff chances. The 27-year-old winger has found the back of the net in six of the last seven games, racking up six goals and 12 points over that stretch, and he sits one tally short of his fifth straight 20-goal campaign.

Impact It was the second hat trick of the 31-year-old's career and his first with the Kings. Remarkably, Danault hadn't scored a goal at home all season until Sunday, with all 11 of his prior tallies coming on the road. Despite the unusual splits, he's been fairly productive this season, holding down a spot on the second power-play unit and centering a middle-six line at even strength. Through 60 games, Danault has contributed 36 points, giving him a shot at his third straight 50-point campaign.

Impact Timo Meier caught the Kings napping after the opening faceoff and scored just 15 seconds into the game, but Talbot didn't lose his focus and shut the door the rest of the way. The veteran netminder has allowed only one goal in four of his last five starts, and in six outings since the All-Star break he's posted a stellar 1.70 GAA and .944 save percentage. Talbot has started three straight games, and he appears to have reclaimed the Kings' No. 1 job from David Rittich.
