Erik Portillo - Reassigned to AHLPortillo was sent to AHL Ontario on Sunday.

ImpactPortillo will get his first taste of pro hockey during the 2023-24 campaign. He spent three years with the University of Michigan; Portillo posted an outstanding 2.14 GAA and .926 save percentage as a sophomore but those numbers fell flat in his junior campaign with a 3.00 and .908, respectively. The 23-year-old will likely spend most of the year at the AHL level.

Samuel Helenius - Dropped to minorsHelenius was demoted to AHL Ontario on Sunday.

ImpactHelenius spent all of last year with AHL Ontario, tallying two goals and 14 points in 61 games. The 20-year-old forward will likely fill a similar role in the Kings' organization during the 2023-24 campaign.

Jean-Francois Berube - Released from PTOBerube was released from his professional tryout agreement with the Kings on Sunday.

ImpactBerube will report to AHL Ontario for training camp. He currently doesn't have a contract in place for the 2023-24 season. Berube went 8-6-3 with a 3.22 GAA and an .885 save percentage in 19 games with AHL Charlotte last campaign.

ImpactPinelli racked up 41 goals and 90 points in 60 games with OHL Kitchener last season. A second-round pick in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft, the 20-year-old forward should spend most of the year at the AHL level.

Nathan Todd - Lands on waiversTodd was placed on waivers by the Sharks on Sunday, per Chris Johnston of TSN.

ImpactTodd signed a two-year, two-way deal with San Jose after posting eight goals and 14 points last year with AHL Springfield. The 27-year-old forward will start the 2023-24 campaign in the AHL, should he clear waivers, with an eye toward making his NHL debut at some point later in the year.

ImpactSabourin joined the Sharks on a two-way deal this offseason and is expected to begin the year with AHL San Jose. The 31-year-old winger scored 16 goals, 33 points and 177 PIM in 51 AHL appearances last year. He has 43 career games of NHL experience.

ImpactTynan posted eight goals and racked up 73 assists in 72 games with AHL Ontario last season. The 31-year-old forward has one helper in 21 career NHL outings. Tynan will probably spend most, if not all, of the 2023-24 campaign in the minors.
