Starting in New Jersey Hogberg will start in net versus the Devils in Sunday's road exhibition contest, per Andrew Gross of Newsday.

Impact Hogberg signed a two-year contract with New York in May -- he'll likely start the season with AHL Bridgeport so long as the Islanders' netminders Ilya Sorokin and Semyon Varlamov are healthy. Hogberg last appeared in the NHL during the 2020-21 season with Ottawa, posting a record of 4-7-0 with an .876 save percentage and a 3.74 GAA in 14 regular-season contests.
