Impact Shaw will be sent to AHL Manitoba if he passes through waivers. The 25-year-old inked a one-year, two-way contract with the Jets in the offseason. He had a goal and two assists in 20 regular-season games with Minnesota last year, missing most of the season recovering from a torn ACL. He should be among the early callups, if Winnipeg runs into any injury problems up front.

Impact Shaw missed most of 2023-24 while recovering from a torn ACL. He ended up playing in 20 games with the Wild, posting three points, 29 hits and 34 PIM. He's a veteran of 82 NHL games over parts of three seasons, but it's likely the 25-year-old spends most of 2024-25 with AHL Manitoba.

Not getting qualifying offer Shaw isn't expected to receive a qualifying offer, per Michael Russo of The Athletic on Thursday, which sets him up to become an unrestricted free agent Monday.

Impact Shaw had a goal, three points and 34 PIM in 20 contests with Minnesota in 2023-24. He also provided four goals and seven points across nine games with AHL Iowa. Shaw is likely to attract attention as a potential fourth-line option, but he'll presumably need to fight for his spot during training camp with any squad that signs him.
