Impact At Hoffman's height, he recorded over 50 points in five straight campaigns from 2015-16 through 2019-20. Over the past four seasons, though, Hoffman has failed to reach the 20-goal and 40-point marks. He served in a bottom-six role with the Sharks in 2023-24, providing 10 goals and 23 points across 66 contests. If the 34-year-old makes the Oilers' Opening Night roster, he might go on to average even less ice time in 2024-25 than the 13:44 per game he logged in San Jose.
