Pavel Novak - On unconditional waivers Novak was put on unconditional waivers by the Wild on Friday for the purposes of terminating his contract, according to Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet.
Impact Novak was in the final season of his three-year, entry-level deal. He had no points in two outings with ECHL Iowa in 2024-25. Novak, who was taken by Minnesota with the No. 146 overall pick in the 2020 NHL Draft, might return to his native Czechia to continue his NHL career. He did have one assist in 15 appearances with Ceske Budejovice HC of the Czech League in 2020-21.

Impact Eriksson Ek has scored in consecutive games, and he's up to three tallies and one assist over five appearances this season. The 27-year-old center has added 13 shots on net, 15 hits and a plus-4 rating. With the Wild off to a surprising 5-0-2 start, Eriksson Ek's steady top-six role carries a little more value that usual. He's a strong source of offense in all situations while adding strong volume in shots and hits, and he'll usually chip in some PIM as well, though he's yet to take a trip to the sin bin this season.

But other than that, Fleury was outstanding in his first win of the season and 562nd career win. The next-closest active goalie on the all-time win list is Sergei Bobrovsky with 399. Fleury has confirmed this is his last season, and at 39, he continues to be a solid match play in daily formats.

Impact He one-timed a seam pass through the crease on a power play, beating Andrei Vasilevskiy who couldn't get post-to-post fast enough. The goal stood as the winner. Boldy has five points (two goals, three assists) on his current three-game point streak. Overall, he has 10 points, including four goals, and 20 shots in seven games this season, and half of Boldy's points have come with the man advantage. The winger is coming off two, 60-plus point seasons, including a career-high 69 in 2023-24. It looks like Boldy is taking another step forward.
