Mason McTavish - Dealing with tightnessMcTavish (undisclosed) didn't practice Saturday, and it's unclear if he will play Sunday versus Columbus, Derek Lee of The Hockey News reports.
ImpactCoach Greg Cronin said McTavish is "dealing with some tightness." The 21-year-old McTavish scored his second goal of 2024-25 in Friday's 5-2 loss to Minnesota. He has eight points, 23 shots on net, eight blocked shots and nine hits through 13 appearances this season.

Urho Vaakanainen - Draws assist FridayVaakanainen logged an assist in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
ImpactVaakanainen stayed in the lineup for the second game in a row since Cam Fowler (upper body) was unavailable. The 25-year-old Vaakanainen has played in three games this season, earning two shots on net, five blocked shots, two PIM and a plus-1 rating. He'll likely see a fairly limited role when he plays while also being a candidate to be scratched when the Ducks' defense is fully healthy.

Radko Gudas - Gets on scoresheet with helperGudas notched an assist, three hits, three blocked shots and six PIM in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
ImpactGudas set up Mason McTavish's tally late in the third period. The helper was Gudas' first point of the season. He's added 10 shots on net, 10 PIM, a minus-1 rating, 41 hits and 39 blocked shots over 13 contests. The slow start means Gudas will have a tough time reaching the 20-point mark for the first time since 2018-19, but he should continue to be a steady source of hits and blocks while being a fixture in the Ducks' lineup as the team's captain.

Mason McTavish - Nets late goal FridayMcTavish scored a goal on five shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
ImpactMcTavish has two goals and an assist over three games in November. Both of those goals have come in the final minute of lopsided losses, but it's still encouraging to see the center display a finishing touch after a rough October. He has two tallies, six helpers, 23 shots on net, nine hits, eight blocked shots, 14 PIM and a minus-3 rating through 13 outings overall.

Robby Fabbri - Scores 100th career goalFabbri scored a goal on two shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
ImpactFabbri snapped a nine-game point drought with his third-period tally. The 28-year-old saw power-play time for a while in October, but he's since been taken out of the mix for that situation. The winger has just two goals with 12 shots on net, 29 hits, 11 blocked shots and a minus-6 rating over 13 contests this season. Fabbri's tally Friday was the 100th goal of his career, a milestone he achieved in his 411th game.

Lukas Dostal - Losing skid at four gamesDostal stopped 26 of 31 shots in Friday's 5-2 loss to the Wild.
ImpactDostal's picked a poor time to slip up -- he's lost four straight outings (0-3-1) with 16 goals allowed in that span. The 24-year-old is now at a 4-5-2 record with a 2.73 GAA and a .922 save percentage over 11 starts. John Gibson was removed from injured reserve to serve as backup Friday, and it may not be long before the veteran gets a start given Dostal's recent struggles. The Ducks are also carrying James Reimer on the roster for now and may move forward with three goalies since they have no concerns for cap space.
