ImpactRooney put the Flames up 1-0 at 15:00 of the first period with a great tip over Filip Gustavsson's right pad. The 31-year-old journeyman has two goals in 13 games this season in a fourth-line role. Rooney has played 273 NHL games for the Devils, Rangers and Flames over nine seasons. He has no fantasy merit, but he's living his dream.

ImpactPospisil put the Flames up 2-1 on the power play late in the second when he redirected Nazem Kadri's slap pass past Filip Gustavsson's outstretched pad. He hadn't scored in 19 games dating all the way back to opening night. It's been a solid week for Pospisil, who snapped a 15-game point drought with an assist Tuesday. He isn't as good as his three-game, five-point streak to start the season, but he's not as bad as his recent drought. Wait to see what Pospisil can do over the next week or so before you jump in.

ImpactVladar bent, but didn't break in the third when Minny turned up the heat and scored twice in a span of 3:25 to force overtime. The Wild are tied for third in the NHL with 30 third-period goals this season. He then shut the door in OT and the shootout to ear his fourth win. Dustin Wolf has had the hot hand in the Flames net of late, so this was a strong performance for Vladar to show that he may be more than a back-up. Don't count on him stealing the net, but there could come a time when he's back to a platoon.
