Impact Marner now has 36 points, including 23 assists, in 31 games, but so many people think it's a disappointing season. That's only because he went through a tough November, and his efforts are being out-classed by Willam Nylander's 119-point pace and Auston Matthews' 76-goal pace. Marner is an excellent fantasy play, and you might be able to get him in a deal because his manager is becoming impatient because of the misperception his season isn't the greatest. Your win if you do.

Early-season frustrations long gone Marner scored a goal and added an assist Saturday in a 7-0 win over the Penguins.

Impact It was Marner's third consecutive multi-point game (four goals, four assists), and it stretched his point streak to four games and nine points. He also has points in seven of his last eight games (eight goals, six assists). Marner has put his early-season frustrations behind him, and he's back on pace for a possible 100-point campaign. Beware his 20.6 shooting percentage, though -- it's significantly above his 13.0 career average, so his goal scoring will likely slow. With 13 in 28 games, Marner is on a 38-goal pace.

Three-game, seven-point streak Marner had a goal and two assists in Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to Columbus.

Impact He, Auston Matthews and William Nylander combined for eight points in a wild five-goal third period to force overtime. Marner's snipe was pretty -- he drove the net and shot from between his legs from in tight. He's on a three-game, seven-point streak (three goals, four assists), and he has put up points in six of his last seven contests (seven goals, five assists). Marner was hard on himself earlier in the season, likely because he felt he should be delivering more offense. So it's nice to see him relaxed and very productive right now. Another 90-point season is possible with that malaise behind him.

But with the goals, he's back on pace for his third-straight 30-goal season. Marner was shifted to John Tavares' line recently, and it looks like coach Sheldon Keefe is brilliant. Now to get Auston Matthews rolling.

It was nice to see Marner fire three shots because he'd gone the four games prior with a single shot. His shooting percentage (12.0) is a bit off his 15.3-plus tally from last season and 15.6 percent from 2020-21. Marner's luck will change soon.
