Joshua Roy - Sent down by Montreal Roy was sent down to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Roy made 23 appearances for the Canadiens last year and racked up four goals and nine points while averaging 12:08 of ice time. He appeared to be in the mix for a role with the NHL club to begin the regular season, but it appears as though he'll be left off the Opening Night roster. However, the 21-year-old recorded 13 goals and 42 points in 41 AHL appearances last year and will likely be in the conversation to be called up if he has a hot start to the 2024-25 campaign.

Jakub Dobes - Sent down Monday Dobes was sent down to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Dobes drew a preseason start against Toronto on Sept. 26 and allowed two goals on 34 shots. Despite his solid performance in the defeat, he'll head to the AHL ahead of the regular season, and he'll likely spend most, if not all, of the year in the minors.

Logan Mailloux - Starting season in minors Mailloux was reassigned to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Mailloux played in one NHL game last season in which he registered one assist, two shots and one hit while logging 21:14 of ice time. While the 21-year-old defenseman should be expected to play the bulk of his games in the minors, he could still see some minutes with the NHL club throughout the course of the 2024-25 campaign.

Adam Engstrom - Reassigned to minors Engstrom was demoted to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Engstrom made it to the final day of training camp, which should speak to how close he might be to breaking into the NHL. The 20-year-old blueliner has yet to make his NHL debut but certainly looks poised to do so at some point during the 2024-25 campaign. Still, the Swede is unlikely to be a full-time contributor at any point, barring a rough stretch of injuries, so fantasy players can likely overlook him for now.

William Trudeau - Sent back to minors Trudeau was reassigned to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Trudeau produced eight goals, 16 assists and 69 PIM in 70 regular-season contests for Montreal's top minor-league affiliate in 2023-24. The 21-year-old defender doesn't have any NHL experience yet, and he will likely spend most, if not all, of the 2024-25 campaign in the minors.

Brandon Gignac - Heading to AHL The Canadiens loaned Gignac to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Gignac was called up by Montreal ahead of the team's preseason finale against the Senators on Saturday, but he'll head back to the minors ahead of the regular season. The 26-year-old will likely spend most of the season in the AHL.

Lucas Condotta - Returned to AHL Condotta was loaned to AHL Laval on Monday.
Impact Condotta supplied eight goals, 19 points and 43 PIM across 65 AHL games with Laval during the 2023-24 regular season. He has one goal in four NHL appearances with Montreal over the last two campaigns. The 26-year-old forward will probably spend most of 2024-25 in the minors.

Sam Montembeault - Tough night against Sens Montembeault turned aside 15 shots in Saturday's preseason loss to the Senators.
Impact A hat trick by Shane Pinto, including goals on the power play and shorthanded, accounted for most of the damage against Montembeault in a 4-2 loss. The 27-year-old netminder has struggled to produce useful fantasy ratios the last two seasons behind a leaky Montreal defense, but he still heads into 2024-25 as the top man in the crease for the Canadiens.
