Offered in-person hearing Rielly was offered an in-person hearing for cross-checking Ottawa's Ridly Greig in Saturday's contest.
Impact A date and time for the hearing has not been determined yet. An in-person hearing opens the possibility for the NHL Department of Player Safety to suspend Rielly for six or more games. The 29-year-old blueliner was assessed a five-minute major for cross-checking and a game misconduct at 19:54 of the third period in Saturday's 5-3 loss to the Senators. Rielly has generated seven goals, 43 points, 132 shots on net and 95 blocked shots over 50 games this season.

May face supplemental discipline Rielly, who picked up an assist in Saturday's 5-3 loss to Ottawa, may face supplemental discipline after cross-checking Ridly Greig in the head late in the game.
Impact Rielly took offense to Greig, who wound up and fired a slap shot into the empty Leafs net with six seconds left in the game. The defender levelled him by crosschecking him on the side of the head, and he received a major penalty and a game misconduct. It was an ugly play. Rielly had already extended his point streak to five games and six assists earlier in the game. More to come, but you should be prepared to replace him this week. Other players that have done similar things at game-end have gotten four-to-six games, regardless of first offense.

Helps out on power play Rielly notched a power-play assist and two shots on goal in Monday's 3-2 loss to the Islanders.
Impact Rielly has six helpers over his last five games, and his last three assists have all come on the power play. The 29-year-old defenseman is up to 41 points through 48 appearances, matching his output from 65 games a year ago. He's added 125 shots on net, 92 blocked shots, 39 hits and an even plus-minus rating, and 15 of his points have come with the man advantage.

Great season continues Rielly delivered two assists Saturday in a 6-4 loss to the Canucks.
Impact Rielly is having the second-best season of his career. His 37 points put him in a tie with Rasmus Dahlin for seventh overall in the NHL, and they project to a 69-point campaign. His 118 shots are the fifth-most from defenders in the entire NHL. Rielly's best season ever came in 2018-19 when he put up 72 points. Given the Leafs' potent forward corps, Rielly should be a lock for elite output for fantasy managers.

Impact Rielly took his first penalty of the season for hooking midway through the second period. The defenseman has taken his offense up a notch with seven points in as many games in January, giving him six goals and 28 helpers over 41 contests this season. He's added 101 shots on net, 34 hits, 81 blocked shots and a plus-3 rating. While he's probably not Norris material, if he can stay out of the sin bin, he could get some buzz for the Lady Byng.
