Juuse Saros - Gets no help in loss Saros allowed two goals on 31 shots in Tuesday's 3-0 loss to the Bruins. The third goal was an empty-netter.

Impact Saros and Linus Ullmark had quite the goalie duel until Charlie Coyle scored on a shorthanded rush at 13:18 of the third period. This was Saros' second regulation loss in a row after he went 14 games without one. He's at 32-23-4 with a 2.81 GAA and a .907 save percentage over 59 contests. The Predators' next game is Thursday versus the Blues.

Alexandre Carrier - Playing Tuesday Carrier (upper body) will return to action against the Bruins on Tuesday, Alex Daugherty of The Tennessean reports.

Impact Carrier returns following a three-game stint on the sidelines due to his upper-body issue. Prior to getting hurt, the blueliner was stuck in both a 22-game goal drought in addition to a nine-game pointless streak. As such, fantasy players probably shouldn't be banking on Carrier offering much in the way of fantasy value moving forward.

Juuse Saros - Guarding crease Tuesday Saros will start against the Bruins at home on Tuesday, per Emma Lingan of The Hockey News.

Impact Saros struggled mightily in his last start, stopping 21 of 27 shots in an 8-4 loss on Thursday to the Coyotes. The 28-year-old has been good this season, recording a .906 save percentage and a 22-4-3 record in 58 starts. He will have a tough test on Tuesday against the Bruins who are 20-8-9 on the road.

Impact Now with 21 points in 62 games (11G, 10A), McCarron has formed a solid checking unit along with linemates Cole Smith and Kiefer Sherwood. The trio has been a solid source of secondary scoring for the Preds this season, accounting for a combined 29 goals and 67 points.

Cole Smith - Bulges twine in Saturday loss Smith scored his ninth goal of the season in Saturday's 7-4 loss to the Avalanche.

Impact Smith opened the scoring just 3:41 into the first period, but the Preds' ultimately couldn't hold off the red-hot Avs. With 23 points in 73 games, Smith has been a solid source of secondary scoring from the team's fourth line where he skates alongside Michael McCarron and Kiefer Sherwood.

Impact Sherwood has been a pleasant surprise in his first full season as a Pred. Now with a career-high 23 points (9G, 14A), he has been a solid source of secondary scoring from the team's bottom six. He continues to skate mainly on the team's fourth line alongside Cole Smith and Michael McCarron.

Kevin Lankinen - Solid not good enough Lankinen made 35 saves Saturday in a 7-4 loss to Colorado. He allowed six goals.

Impact The Preds came out hard and fast, and the Avs did not. The squad forced Avs starter Alexandar Georgiev out of the game just 57 seconds into the second, and Lankinen looked incredibly confident . But then the Avs scored the final five goals of the game. Lankinen was solid, but doesn't get a lot of playing time behind Juuse Saros, who dominates the crease. However, he may get another game or two before the end of the season as the team rests Saros for Cup action.

Gustav Nyquist - Eight-game, 12-point streak Nyquist had a goal and an assist in a 7-4 loss to Colorado on Saturday.

Impact Nyquist extended his point streak to eight games (12 points; five goals, seven assists). He continues to pad his career point mark. Nyquist has 68 points, including 46 assists, in 74 games. Not bad for a 34-year-old. Don't expect him to replicate that next season -- there are too many factors against him. But right now, hot is hot.
