Michael McCarron - Scores in Tuesday's loss McCarron scored a goal and went minus-4 in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Kraken.

Impact McCarron netted his first goal of the campaign, but the Predators' fourth line was caved in by the Kraken's offense. The 29-year-old has added three shots on net, two hits, two blocked shots and a minus-5 rating over three games this season. He'll likely rack up plenty of hits and PIM, but McCarron's career high in points came last year (22 in 70 regular-season games), and he doesn't have a lot of upside in that area.

Brady Skjei - First goal with new club Skjei scored his first goal of the season in Tuesday's 7-3 defeat to Seattle.

Impact Skjei fired home a rebound late in the second period of Tuesday's loss, but it was the last marker of the game for Nashville. The left-shot defenseman added five shots, one block and a minus-1 rating in 22:51 of ice time. Skjei is coming off his most productive season in his 10-year NHL career -- he generated 47 points in 80 regular-season games with Carolina in 2023-24. As a result, Skjei was rewarded with a seven-year contract from Nashville in July. The former first-round pick is serving in a top-four capacity and seeing time on the power play.

Tommy Novak - Tallies in Tuesday's loss Novak netted a goal in Tuesday's 7-3 loss versus the Kraken.

Impact Novak had a yawning cage to shoot at after being set up on his goal by Mark Jankowski, but it wasn't enough to help Nashville overcome Seattle's offensive outburst. Novak is filling a third-line role while skating on the second power-play unit, so he's not relied upon much for primary scoring. The 27-year-old has reached the 43-point mark in back-to-back seasons, and he should be able to post similar numbers in 2024-25.

Filip Forsberg - Banks assist in loss Forsberg produced an even-strength assist in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to Seattle.

Impact Forsberg helped the Preds tie the game late in the second period with a secondary assist on Brady Skjei's first goal of the season. In addition, Forsberg fired five shots on goal and added two PIM and four hits to round out a solid fantasy performance. The Swedish star had a career-best 94 points in 2023-24 while skating in all 82 games, the first time he's done so since the 2016-17 campaign. Those numbers will be hard to match, but it's not out of the realm of possibilities when factoring in Nashville's additions of Steven Stamkos and Jonathan Marchessault

Juuse Saros - Shaky in Tuesday's defeat Saros allowed six goals on 34 shots in Tuesday's 7-3 loss to the Kraken.

Impact Saros kept his team in the contest until the Kraken exploded for four goals in the third period, one of which was an empty-netter. Through two games, Saros sports an 0-2-0 record, 4.19 GAA and an .855 save percentage. The 29-year-old was dealing with a lower-body injury to start the campaign and missed the season-opener, so it's possible that could be attributed to his slow start. Saros' next chance to rebound will come in a home matchup against the Oilers on Thursday.
