Impact Haula was a late scratch during Sunday's warmups and it's unclear what he's dealing with at the moment. The 32-year-old recently missed three games due to a lower-body issue. He's tallied seven goals and 13 points in 21 games this season. New Jersey's next game is Wednesday against Boston.

Impact Schmid will get the second half of New Jersey's back-to-back after Vitek Vanecek played in Saturday's 4-2 win over Calgary. Schmid has supplied a 4-5-1 record this season with a 3.03 GAA and a .902 save percentage over 11 appearances. The Oilers rank sixth in the league this campaign with 3.46 goals per contest.

Impact Holtz has eight markers and 12 points in 25 contests this season. His goals have mostly come in bunches this campaign with him collecting three over five appearances from Oct. 24-Nov. 2 and another three over four games from Nov. 24-30. Perhaps his latest goal will serve as the beginning of a similar stretch.

Impact Hischier provided the Devils' first marker of the contest early in the second period while his second tally came on an empty net to complete New Jersey's 4-2 win. Impact Vanecek surrendered a shorthanded goal late in the first period, forcing the Devils to enter the intermission down 1-0, but he was able to shrug off the setback to earn his second straight victory. Vanecek's 10-5-0 with a 3.49 GAA and an .879 save percentage in 17 contests in 2023-24. Impact Vanecek is coming off a 28-save effort in Tuesday's 6-5 win over Vancouver. He has supplied a 9-5-0 record this campaign with a 3.60 GAA and an .877 save percentage over 16 games played. Calgary is tied for 22nd in the league this season with 2.92 goals per contest.

Impact Siegenthaler has a helper in each of the last two games. He had three assists in the season opener, but he's only been able to match that over the next 23 contests as a more defensive presence in a top-four role. The Swiss blueliner has added 26 shots on net, 28 hits, 41 blocked shots and a minus-1 rating. Siegenthaler should continue to see big minutes, but he's unlikely to reach lofty point totals.

Impact Marino snapped a nine-game point drought with the primary helper on Ondrej Palat's first-period goal. While Marino was solid over the first month of the campaign, consistent offense is not his calling card. The 26-year-old defenseman is up to 11 points, 18 shots on net, 31 blocked shots, 10 PIM and an even plus-minus rating. Nemec looks like he belongs in the NHL, and with Dougie Hamilton (pectoral) out long term, the Devils will be leaning on their youth on the blue line to stay competitive in the Metropolitan Division.
